Download and print out the cleat position template. It will show you the cleat position most preferred by LOX skaters. If you're a snowboarder or ride a longer deck than the standard, you may prefer a wider cleat placement than indicated.
Do not place cleats closer than 1/2 an inch from the edge of the deck, or too close to the center. Never drill into your trucks.

Start with the light cleats. See if they feel right for you. If you're coming out too easily, replace the light cleats with the medium cleats.

Be careful to drill straight through your deck to enable the cleats to sit flat on the deck.
Use the printed template to indicate where to drill the holes.

The cleats are designed to take serious punishment and are hard wearing but after extended use the cleat wings will wear down. If you're a hard-core LOX skater you may need to replace the cleats before you replace your shoes. You can buy a new pair of cleats from any LOX retailer. Before stepping onto the cleat, make sure the locking ring is free of excess dirt, mud and sand to prevent possible cleat jamming.
