| Download and print
out the cleat position template. It will show you the cleat position most
preferred by LOX skaters. If you're a snowboarder or ride a longer deck
than the standard, you may prefer a wider cleat placement than indicated. Do not place cleats closer than 1/2 an inch from the edge of the deck, or too close to the center. Never drill into your trucks.   |
Start with the light cleats. See if they feel right for you. If you're coming out too easily, replace the light cleats with the medium cleats. | |

| Be careful to drill
straight through your deck to enable the cleats to sit flat on the deck.
Use the printed template to indicate where to drill the holes. ![]()   |
The cleats are designed to
take serious punishment and are hard wearing but after extended use the
cleat wings will wear down. If you're a hard-core LOX skater you may need
to replace the cleats before you replace your shoes. You can buy a new pair
of cleats from any LOX retailer. Click here to see
the list of current LOX retail stores.   |

| Before stepping
onto the cleat, make sure the locking ring is free of excess dirt, mud and
sand to prevent possible cleat jamming.   |
